Help discern who God is calling your congregation to bless?
The word "apostle" actually means a "sent one." The great apostle Paul was sent to express the Good News to all sorts of new people (the Gentiles). At each new town he learned about the people before he formed a congregation. He tailored his message by proclaiming and embodying the Good News in ways that the people of that area would understand. He realized that he needed to learn about different people and communities in order to express the same timeless truth of God's Love in a way they would understand.
Your congregation was created by God to share the Good News with all sorts of people too! Think of all the lives your congregation has already blessed throughout the years. Our communities around us have changed from the way it was when our longest members first attended. But look at it this way, God has placed new people in our communities to bless! These people have not grown up in your church, and may not have grown up in church at all.

How It Works
MissionInsite allows you to examine the mission area of your church on a map and learn more about the people within that area. It's a simple as drawing a shape on a map and clicking a few buttons. All you need is computer access and permission from the Presbytery to start learning how to use this tool. It does not replace your own eyes and ears, but it does reveal things they do not always notice.
Use Your Eyes and Ears Too!
Don't rely on MissionInsite alone! Use some of these intentional, personal and prayerful ideas (and your own interactions with people) to see with your own eyes and hear with your own ears the spiritual needs of your neighbors! Here are three great prayerful and personal exercises described by renowned expert Tom Bandy:
